How MindGame works

  1. Build

Rich-text cards with images, formatting, and code — organized in decks and folders.

  2. Collaborate

Friends join a deck in the browser, even as guests, and edit with you live.

  3. Study

MindGame times each card to come back right before you’d forget it — even offline.

  4. Share

Send a deck as a link — friends get their own copy to keep and study.

Collaborate

Build decks together. Actually together.

Share a deck with a link. If you allow it, friends can join as guests — no sign-up at all. Everyone edits live: your friends’ changes appear card by card as they type, and presence avatars show who’s in the deck. Per-deck roles decide who can edit, comment, or just view — and you can add a PIN if you want it locked down.

Group projects, but the kind that works.

The science

Spaced repetition, powered by FSRS.

MindGame is a spaced-repetition flashcard app that uses FSRS — the modern open scheduling algorithm Anki adopted — to show each card right before you’d forget it.

Illustrative — retention after each repetition, approaching exam-ready mastery.

Every rating (Again, Hard, Good, Easy) updates that card’s own schedule: easy cards stop nagging, hard ones come back sooner.

Two modes: Long-term Learning (FSRS schedules everything) and Review (cram everything now — no scheduling, no judgment).

Four buttons. Zero guesswork.

What’s FSRS?

Who makes this

Built by people who actually study.

MindGame is built by two people — Roman and Alex [founder text pending from Roman].

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — and it always will be for the editor, sharing, and every study mode. The only paid features will be AI-based ones.

Yes. Import an .apkg and your cards, images, and review history come across, mapped into FSRS. Cloze, image-occlusion, and audio cards aren’t supported yet. Quizlet import is coming before the beta launches.

MindGame runs instantly in the browser with no install and lets you build decks together in real time — Anki doesn’t. Both use FSRS scheduling, and MindGame imports your .apkg with review history. Anki still has more card types (cloze, image occlusion) and a more mature mobile app.

MindGame runs in the browser with no sign-up and lets you build decks together in real time, using FSRS instead of a proprietary algorithm. Quizlet requires an account to study or save sets and doesn’t support real-time co-editing — but it currently has more card types and a more mature mobile app.
